About us – Nzgridironbets

American football is the starting point at Nzgridironbets, written for New Zealand readers who follow the NFL and want to know what betting on it involves here. Bets are not taken, picks are not sold and no result is promised, because no wager is certain to win.

What the site leaves out

Nothing on the site is a prediction for a named game. Odds are explained as a statement of probability, and the difference between spreads, totals and moneylines is treated as a matter of reading prices.

No register of licensed bookmakers exists in New Zealand, since only one provider is lawful. TAB NZ alone, through TAB and Betcha, may offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand, and has been the only one since 28 June 2025. The Department of Internal Affairs and the legislation pages, including the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025, are the sources relied on. An overseas bookmaker has no licence here, and the Department says an overseas company offering these bets is breaking the law. That law is aimed at the operator, not the punter. Appearing in a ranking has never been a licence.

Sources and care

Provider facts are taken from the provider’s own terms, help pages and footers. Statutes and public bodies supply the legal facts. Prices and offers shift quickly, so a figure comes with the time and place it applied, and where sources stop the text says so in words.

Intended readers

The site is meant for adults, since betting with TAB NZ opens at 18, and it is not legal or tax advice. Those who feel betting is taking more room than planned can turn to the Gambling Helpline or Safer Gambling Aotearoa.
